Straight answers
Scheduling, permits, panels, EV chargers, and how we work — answered the way we’d want them answered. If yours isn’t here, call (719) 428-5882.

We quote after real eyes on the problem — not a guess over the phone. That site visit is complimentary. It’s not always a fixed quote; some work is time and materials. Either way, if something unexpected turns up, we talk it through before we continue working on the issue.
We don't advertise 24/7 service — companies that do usually bill you for it. What we do promise: every message gets read, and if something feels urgent to you, we treat it that way. If we can find a way to help, we will.
Home base is Colorado Springs. We work across the Pikes Peak region and up and down the Front Range:
Around town: Broadmoor · Cheyenne Mountain · Country Club Estates · Flying Horse · Kissing Camels · Wagon Trails · Wolf Ranch · Cordera · Rockrimmon · Briargate · Mountain Shadows · and everywhere between.
Farther out in Colorado? Ask — we’ve wired jobs from Granby to Silverthorne. We would be happy to discuss your situation.
Yes. Bobby is a licensed master electrician and licensed electrical contractor, and the company is fully insured.
No. We look to care for your electrical needs and educate you on any questions you might have. We give you all the options and let you choose which way you want to go.
Usually not. Bobby’s code knowledge runs from the 1985 NEC through today’s standards, which means he can diagnose older wiring accurately and be honest about what you really need. When a rewire genuinely is the answer, we’ll explain to you why.
Bobby — the owner, the master electrician, the name on the company. No rotating crews, no stranger with a tablet. The person who quotes your work is the person who stands behind it.
Yes. A dead outlet matters as much to us as a build-out, because most of our long-term customers started with a small call. We're building relationships, not chasing ticket sizes.
A look at your panel first — a Level 2 charger needs a dedicated 240-volt circuit, and your panel either has the capacity or it doesn't. We run the load calculation, pull the permit, and install it right. Read our EV charger guide for the full picture.
An upgrade is worth considering when the panel is outdated, undersized, or can’t safely carry the loads you’re adding. The usual signs: no breaker spaces left, a fuse box or a Federal Pacific panel, a breaker that has failed in an obsolete panel, or big plans — an EV charger, hot tub, finished basement, or addition. Sometimes a subpanel solves it. Having us evaluate the existing system tells you whether an upgrade is actually needed.
Yes — tenant finishes and build-outs, lighting redesigns and LED retrofits, dedicated circuits for equipment, service upgrades and reconfigurations, and ongoing service for buildings that need an electrician who already knows them. Bobby ran commercial projects as a construction manager.
Custom homes, yes — designed and wired from the plans up, in coordination with your builder. We have worked with high-quality builders throughout the region.
The work is done to code, cleaned up, and stood behind — it’s wired right, or we come back. That’s been the rule since 2012.
We will schedule the next available opening. Once we make a commitment, we will be there. We schedule honestly — when we say Tuesday at 8:00, we mean Tuesday at 8:00.
Yes — hot tubs and spas, landscape and security lighting, outdoor outlets and heating, and detached garages. Our outdoor wiring is installed to resist Colorado’s extreme weather.
Use the request form or call (719) 428-5882. Tell us what’s going on — photos help — and we’ll come back with straight answers and a real number after we’ve conducted a complimentary site visit and have seen exactly what you want.
We show up when we say we will. You reach a person, not a phone tree. The price is fair and the diagnosis is honest — no upsells, no scare tactics. And the electrician at your door carries 40+ years of trade experience and treats your home like his reputation depends on it, because it does.
We’re local to Colorado. Knowing the local construction and codes for 40+ years, we’ve seen most every problem in this area a customer might encounter. As a small, local business, we work to build long-term relationships with our customers. We want to be there for all your electrical needs, and for you to remain part of our Essential Electric family.
